The Bills finalized a deal to send 4 time pro bowl Wide Receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans.
Texans get – Stefon Diggs, 5th-round pick, 6th-round pick
Bills get – 2025 2nd-round pick
The Texans are Super Bowl contenders and adding Diggs gives them a legit chance to win it all this year. Diggs had 107 receptions for 1183 yards and 8 Tds in 2023. As for the Bills its not as bad as the average fan is making it seem to be. Diggs is 30 years old and isn’t a free agent until 2028. Diggs is coming off of a bottom 3 career season in yards per reception and target. He also didn’t have a single 100 yard game in his last 13 games with the Bills. As good as Diggs is, his number one flaw throughout his career has been being a diva which was shown in his days with Minnesota and several times in Buffalo. By trading Diggs, Bills General Manager Brandon Beane just took on $31 million in dead cap and lost $3 million in cap space to not have Diggs play on his team in 2024. This proves there was more to the trade than everyone thinks and clearly Buffalo was eager to move on from Diggs. With Buffalo getting a 2nd round pick in the Diggs trade they can use that extra draft capital to trade up in the draft to take an elite young receiver or even use the pick to help acquire one of Tee Higgins or Brandon Aiyuk as those two names have been floating around trade speculation.
